The Domaine de Quintefeuille is located in Lugny, 20 kilometers north of Mâcon, between Cluny and Tournus.
A family estate of 15 hectares, the Domaine de Quintefeuille cultivates its vines under the Bourgogne Pinot Noir, Mâcon-Villages, Mâcon Lugny, and Mâcon Lugny "Les Charmes" appellations (the estate is actually the largest independent producer of this appellation, which is the flagship of local production).
The terroirs are those of the great wines of Burgundy: clay-limestone that will yield the richest cuvées, but also white clays that will produce more delicate wines.
With an average age of 45 years, the age of the vines is particularly high for the region. The youngest are nearly 10 years old, and the oldest exceed 80 years! Great terroirs, vines in their prime, everything is in place to create great wines.
At the Domaine de Quintefeuille, if we have chosen to be winemakers, it is out of passion, out of love for the vine. This is why we practice responsible and sustainable viticulture.
We ensure environmentally friendly agriculture and promote biodiversity in the vineyard. The work is meticulous and thoughtful, including soil work (tillage), cover cropping, organic fertilization, bud thinning, yield management, and harvesting at maturity.
