ZAPP-ZIMMERMANN has worked for more than 25 years to offer its customers innovative fire protection systems specific to the areas of cable, pipe and combination partitioning and fire protection joint sealants. Alongside our tried-and-tested range of intumescent moulded parts made from polyurethane fire protection foam, we offer other materials such as silicon and acrylic for structural engineering, tunnel construction, shipbuilding and rail vehicles. Our wide range of fire protection systems includes the correct product for any application, all enabling practical installation and retrofitting. Our systems can be processed quickly and easily without using special tools and the moulded parts can be reused, making them ideal for any stage in the life of your building, regardless of whether they are intended for temporary or permanent use. Our systems are completely free from dust and fibres, making them usable in all areas of construction. The Rudolf Uhlen GmbH manufactures personal protective equipment (PPE) for various applications for more than 50 years. Mr. Volker Fiedler acquired the company in 1995. Under his management the company has grown steadily from an “one-man-operation” to an enterprise with 23 employees. A special focus of our production lies in the field of face- and eye-protection. Our standard product range covers the sectors visor carriers, head-gears, visors against mechanical and chemical impacts, gold-coated visors for IR-protection, arc-flash visors, heat-shields made of wire cloth and welding glasses. Besides this extensive standard product range we would like to provide practical solutions for the protective requirements in special working environments. We are willing to agree to individual requests of our customers. To provide the maximum customer satisfaction we focus on two principles: 1. The quality of the products has to be right. 2. There has to be a constructive communication with the customer.

As a reliable supplier of professional knee protection in mining applications, we helped to develop the mining standard DIN 23311 in cooperation with the Standards Committee for Mining in 1953. In so doing, we set in stone optimal protection for the user and a high standard of quality for knee protectors. It goes without saying that we meet the requirements of the new European standard DIN EN 14404 from 2005 while preserving the old standards of quality. With the protected trademark, Wohltat®, our products are known as being high-quality and robust knee protectors for a spectrum of different users that has grown through the decades. They represent effective and durable protection for the knees for any work that requires kneeling. What began with the production of knee protectors for mining applications is today a business that develops and produces knee protectors for protection and safety in all manual labour.
